Calif. Atty. Gen. Brown Responds to Prop 8 Cases

California's Attorney General, Edmund "Jerry" Brown, has filed his answers to the three lawsuits challenging Proposition 8. The lawsuits all asked for the court to review the case immediately, and two asked for the court to stay implementation of Proposition 8 until the court has reviewed the cases. Brown's response in each case is nearly identical. In his responses, Brown agreed that the court should hear the cases immediately, but argued that the court should not issue a stay that would prevent the State from implementing Prop 8 in the meantime.
